WEB FILTER
Parents, please be aware that school devices being used at home will NOT have any web filters in place. Within the District we maintain extensive web-filtering, but only when devices are connected to the school wi-fi. That means that if your student is at home (on a school device or personal) then you must arrange for what ever web filtering and parental controls you see fit via your own Internet Service Provider.
STUDENT LOGIN CREDENTIALS
We have had many questions about how students should be logging in. Please see some information below, and feel free to contact me with additional questions:
Chromebooks:
K-3: will use their Clever badge to log in (available from classroom teachers)
- if you don't have a Clever badge, use the 4-6 method
4-6: will use choose Add Person
then click on Sign in with a different account
and then enter their email address & password
Gmail/Google Classroom:
* if using Clever or a school device, the student will be automatically logged in to these accounts once in the Clever Dashboard or chromebook
* if using personal devices, use log-in using student's email address & password
Clever:
This is a new tool for students in K-3 where they have a unique QR code or printed "badge" (available from classroom teachers) which is read by the device's camera and grants access - no typing of a username/password required. On devices without a camera, students will have to use their full email address & password (instructions).

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ... Week two is upon us and we are plugging right along. It is such a shift in all of our practices but we are figuring it out and making this hybrid thing work. I would guess that our staff has made more professional growth in the last 6 months than they have in their entire careers. It seems like every day there is a new challenge that we need to figure out a solution to. We are certainly not wasting this crisis that is for sure. I am so proud of our staff and our students, we have had very few issues with students or parents wearing their masks and the students especially are doing their best to stay apart and stay safe. I attribute that to our wonderful community and how hard they are working to support us. It does not go unnoticed.
While I am on the subject, I also want to thank each and every one of our loyal readers. The amount of support you are giving our students at home is unbelievable. As a parent myself, I know how difficult it is to try and manage work and being a "teacher" all day. Thank you for doing the best you can, it takes a whole village to raise a child and that rings true now more than ever.
On the home front, Labor day will bring a needed rest for a lot of personal labor I've been doing over the last few months. I am planning on spending a lot of time with my family as I have been so busy around here for the last few months, I have barely seen them. As I said last week, I have a lot of birthdays this month so we are going to be doing some celebrating this weekend. I'll be sure to update you on how that strange caramel macchiato cake (my oldest ordered) tastes.
