FROM THE EPIC COMMITTEE

CTE would like to invite students to participate in our annual rock painting! Here’s the plan:

Find a rock from your own yard. Paint it or decorate it with a message of hope in either words or pictures. Hold onto it as a reminder to keep hope until we are all back together again. When we can come back to school, bring your rock with you to place outside the school. We are #ctestrong

WE ONLY HAVE A FEW SUBMISSIONS
- please send us your child's entry!
Dear CTE Families,
We have witnessed amazingly EPIC behavior from our students, and it's time we show it off! Please share a picture of your kiddo showing an EPIC trait (Enthusiasm, Perseverance, Integrity, Courage) so that we may share it with the community. Upload your student's picture via this link by May14th. Can't wait to see them! #ctestrong

FROM THE AP - ROBIN HUNT

I want to thank all of you who have reached out to me wishing me well in my new adventure. I will miss you all more than you know!

Summer Reading Support
I’ve had several families reach out asking how to support their students through the summer. Most have been concerned about reading readiness for next year. Our district is currently negotiating with iReady to allow students to access iReady through the summer months. Consistently accessing iReady and your student doing their best through these sessions is one of the best interventions we offer. Another offering this summer is Regis University’s Summer Reading and Writing Skills Program for Preschool Through Entering 12th Graders. This is an excellent program to build and sustain reading skills. Additionally, I know of some tutors who work through the summer months. Please feel free to contact me if you have any interest in this. Of course, the very best thing you can do is listen to your child read and read to them. Developing a love for reading and learning is paramount to your child’s future! Below are some websites you can access throughout the summer to support independent reading.
