NUTRITION SERVICES

WEEKLY MEAL BAGS

Universal Free Meals School Year 2021-2022

For all schools where DCSD Nutrition Services operates, the USDA has extended Meals at No Cost through June 30, 2022. This means that one breakfast (where offered) and one lunch per day per student will continue to be provided at no cost to all students. Students are required to take a fruit or vegetable to make a reimbursable/no cost meal at breakfast and lunch. Ala Carte food items are available for purchase. Meals will be served in the school cafeterias to students.

Fueling bodies and minds is crucial regardless of where the learning occurs! DCSD Nutrition Services is providing weekly meal bags, available by pre-order only and curbside pickup, for all students enrolled at participating sites during eLearning and hybrid learning. Weekly meal bags for 100% eLearners contain 5 breakfast meals and 5 lunch meals, including fruits/veggies and milk for each meal. Weekly meal bags for Hybrid learners will contain 5 breakfast and 3 lunches. A lunch only bag will be available for Hybrid learners as well with lunches. For Hybrid learners, days when in-person learning, traditional hot meals will be served at the participating school sites. Here are the updated eLearning weekly meal bag fliers -
