About Me

Hello Families!

My name is Ahna Bersagel-Briese, but at school I am just known as Mrs. Briese. Here is a little bit about me, so that we can begin to get to know each other. I grew up in Wisconsin and went to college at Gustavus Adolphus, in Minnesota, getting my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I moved to Colorado after graduation and participated in a program where I volunteered for a year at a non-profit in Denver. I have been teaching for 22 years, starting my 23rd, in both Denver and Douglas County School Districts.  I received my Master's of Education in Literacy and Reading in 2008. I am trained in Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham instruction for reading instruction.

Outside of school, I love to be outdoors, read, listen to live music, and spend time with my family and friends. I live in Castle Rock with my husband, Oren, my son Ezra (15), and my daughter Elia (11).
