WHAT'S HAPPENING IN WELLNESS - NOELLE DUNKER
Grades K/1/2: Our focus this week will be perseverance. When we value perseverance, it motivates us to pursue our goals and overcome obstacles. We often try and fail, revise and try again to grow and learn.  This week, students will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of perseverance.

Grades 3/4/5/6: For the remainder of the school year, we will be exploring the benefits of nature and fresh air on our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Please click on the links attached for information on Mindful Mornings with Mrs. Dunker.  We still have a few spots left.  Thank you.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER

The Principal Chronicles continue ...
We finally made it into May. We survived all of our testing, evaluations, and everything else to make it to the longest month of the school year. May is always a time to wrap things up and enjoy numerous culminating activities. We have kickball, concerts, field day, service day, graduations, continuations, and even an assembly or two. Although this time of year is completely nuts, I do really enjoy all of the fun things. For example, we have our hexathalon this Friday which involves our 6th grade students competing against 6th grade students from the other schools in our feeder. It is alway a lot of fun to see the events. We also are doing a service day this year. In the past we have painted rocks at the end of the year but this year we thought we would have students give back to our school. We are going to spend portions of the day doing service projects around the school to make it a better looking place. I can't wait to see how nice CTE looks at the end of our service day.
On the home front, my daughter has decided she may want to quit her job that she has had for a little over a month. She got in trouble for talking while working (no shock there) and her boss ripped her and she got her feelers hurt. We shall see if she still wants to quit once she starts driving and she realizes how much gas costs. At the same time, I can't really call her out on her job since she got it on her own and if she wants to quit that will be her choice. I guess she has a back up plan of maybe working at a salon or Baskin Robbins. Yes, I agree, those are two very different industries but what do you expect from at soon to be 16 year old?
That is it for this week's episode. Stay tuned for next week when the Principal Chronicles continue ...
