FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER

The Principal Chronicles continue ...

As I write this, I am in the middle of what has consumed my life for the past month, CMAS. For the last month, I have been planning, organizing, printing, scheduling, and preparing for this test. Now that it is here, I am basically running around all over the building stopping tests, starting tests and trying to get all of our make up tests figured out. All of this while I have been trying to balance my other responsibilities. I guess this is the reason why I am the only principal in all of DCSD who is responsible for CMAS. Every other building leader has someone else take the lead, we just don't have the person-power to do that here.

So the other day, I had my personal performance review with my boss. I had to drive over to his office and while I was driving I had to be a part of an IEP meeting on my phone as well as keep my computer open so I could manage CMAS. There is truly nothing like being triple booked for something.

Besides that, our students are doing such a good job with their testing. It was also really cool to see our primary students support the intermediate students with cards and signs cheering them on this year. I love the fact that our students get behind each other.

I'd love to share more fun and witty stories but I need to run and put out another CMAS fire. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time when the Principal Chronicles continue ...
