FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ...
I cannot believe that May is here. As I write this, we are nearly done with CMAS and are about half way through our end of the year diagnostic. After this week, I am sure our students will be done testing for a while. It's funny, last year we left a week in between CMAS and our end of year diagnostic and our staff complained that the students didn't take the diagnostic test very seriously. This year we had them back to back and our staff thought it was too much testing right in a row. Maybe next year we will figure out something that is perfect. Having said that, our first few glances at the diagnostic data the scores, especially in literacy, ARE THROUGH THE ROOF. We can't wait to see the final results. Everything is due on Friday so we won't have to wait long. I know our staff has given their heart and soul to our new curriculum and there is nothing more gratifying than to have your hard work pay off. I am so proud of our staff and our students.
On the home front, I have been busy packing (again) but at least this time, most of our stuff is already packed and in storage. We move next week and I can't tell you how nice it will be to essentially be settled in one place for an extended period of time. After having my living situation be in limbo for a year and a half now, it'll just be nice to be permanent somewhere. It'll also be nice to stop living out of multiple duffle bags, and have my own stuff around, and park in a garage again. Next year for the first time in a very long time, everything in my personal life will be set and grounded. Until, of course, when July rolls around and my daughter gets her driving permit. Ugh....
That is it for this week. Stay tuned for next week when the Principal Chronicles continues....
