FROM THE PRINCIPAL
 - JOSH MILLER

The Principal Chronicles continue ... Holy Cow Christmas is almost here. As I seem to say all year, "boy does time fly by". Here at school we are just finishing up on all of our Winter assessments and have moved on to STEAM Day and report cards. Lots and lots of "to do" things in order to wrap up the first half of the year. Never a dull moment to say the least. In fact things around here are so busy we are putting off our staff holiday party until January. On the home front, we have some good things going on and some not so good things going on. Good news, my youngest has started her first ever sport. My loyal readers know that trying to find activities which pique the interest of my youngest is an extremely difficult task; unless you count watching TV shows with laugh tracks, looking at herself in the mirror, or playing a computer game where you live the life of a fictional character. We have tried singing, acting, guitar, gymnastics, swimming, karate, and pottery. Yep, nothing, no interest at all. So she has decided (by way of me forcing her to) play basketball. She (and by 'she' I mean 'me') picked basketball because she is tall (taller than most girls her age) and she (see previous bracket) can basically park herself under the basket and shoot without having to run that much. It may be perfect for her. So far she has attended two practices and hasn't come home wanting to quit yet, so that is about as good a bit of news and I can get. The bad news is that dog #1 of ours, George, started having seizures. Not sure why they started now but boy are they scary. So far this past month he has had four including two last Monday. Luckily, dog seizures don't hurt him except he has a long saggy face (he is a Shar Pei, Basset Mix) and bit his own lips pretty hard. We took him in for some bloodwork and found out it's "probably" not a tumor (reminds me of the movie Kindergarten Cop "IT'S NOT A TUMOR!!") but more likely epilepsy. I'll keep you all posted. Well that is it for this week. Stay tuned for next week when things get really nuts. See you next time when the Principal Chronicles continues...
