The cake walk & concessions is a fundraiser for our CTE Student Council. This is always a fun time for our CTE community! Restaurant Night: Take your families and tell your neighbors to grab dinner at Chipotle (over by Costco), Tuesday, May 1st, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm! This is our biggest restaurant night of the year and helps support the PSP grants that we award every month. Take in the flyer, show the flyer on your phone, or just tell them that you are there for CTE when you pay for your food. Thank you for supporting our school!
"Sonshine" Soiree: Friday, May 11th, 6:00pm - 8:00pm is our second "Sonshine" Soiree - this is a unique dance for moms & their little boys and a great way to start your Mother's Day weekend! There will be face painting, a balloon artist, a visit from superheroes, a DJ, and food. The cost is $25/couple and $5 per additional child, and that includes everything listed except concessions. The proceeds will benefit PSP and the Parker Task Force. Click on the link to RSVP. If you have any questions about this event contact Kristi Harvey. Morning with Moms: We welcome all moms, grandmas, and special women in our student's lives to this event on Friday, May 4th from 8:00am - 9:00am. FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ... As I write this, it is early Thursday morning. We don't have any students today as many of our teachers are marching at the Capital to push for more education funding. It is a really really quiet morning. As for me, I am at school trying to catch up on the mounds of work that have been piling up on my desk for the last few weeks. Every year is the same: as soon as spring break is over it seems like time moves at warp speed (or light speed depending on your 80's movie form of space travel). We are down to one month left of school. Can't believe it has gone by this quickly. On the home front, my youngest has her play on Friday and Saturday. She has been working on this play since August and is cast as Cinderella in the play Into the Woods. She has practiced for the play every night this week for four hours. Ugh. Her theater group practices at a church in Highlands Ranch. This was my home base last night working away sitting in a pew next to the security desk (I thought it was kind of odd that there was a security desk in a church, but then again who am I to judge?). Tonight we will be at a different church because it is the dress rehearsal so we will see where I end up for four hours. Friday is her first performance and then she has another one on Saturday. Of course, on Friday, I have to somehow get her from school to get her hair done (I know, seriously?) then over to her show by four then race back to CTE for Games Night and then race back over to catch the second half of the play then race home because I have a race Saturday morning then race back from my race to get her hair done again and then race over to the church for her second performance. Should be super fun. That is it for this week. Thanks for supporting our teachers and supporting education. Until next time when the Principal Chronicles continues.....
