FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ... So the other day, for the first time in my professional career, I went on a field trip as a parent instead of a teacher/administrator. A number of weeks ago I packed my bags and went on a guilt trip with my youngest daughter. I received the old "you always do everything for your students and nothing with me, you always drag me to you school events but never come to mine" so on and so forth. Due to said guilt trip, I decided to go to Ameritowne with her 5th grade class yesterday.
Having been to Ameritowne in the past I thought it might be fun to actually volunteer and spend time with her as a parent.
I ended up being placed in the fitness center, which is kind of funny and ironic at the same time. I wasn't placed with my youngest but a different set of students. We spent the day selling squishy balls, video game experiences, and rubber duckies. It was super fun and in the end, our business was profitable. Not only that, on the home front I was able to exit the dog house for at least one day.
That is it for this week, sorry it is so short but with all of the evaluation conversations I have this week, I only have 11 minutes to write this and I am down to the last 45 seconds - tick, tick, tick. Have a great week and stay tuned until next time when the Principal Chronicles continue.
