MRS. DEROSE
Dear Cherokee Trail Community,
I am beyond excited and deeply honored to step into the role of your new principal. Feeling truly fortunate to join the Cherokee Trail family, I want to share a bit about my journey and my vision for our year ahead.
My career in education began in Northern Colorado teaching at a Title I school—a deeply rewarding experience that shaped my core philosophy as an educator. After taking time away from the classroom to stay home and raise my own children, I returned to school life at Pine Lane. Over the years, my path led me from classroom teaching to serving as an interventionist, and most recently, spending the last five years as an Assistant Principal. Every step of that journey has reinforced my belief in the power of a supportive, dedicated school community.
As we look toward this school year, my goal is to build strong, meaningful connections with our students, staff, and families. I want us to enjoy our time together and build exciting new traditions, all while staying committed to rigorous, high-quality learning that helps every student thrive.
I look forward to meeting each of you, learning about your traditions, and working together to make this a wonderful year. Please feel free to say hello when you see me around campus!
