About Me

Meet Mrs. Dunker

Welcome to 4th grade at Cherokee Trail! My name is Noelle Dunker, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!  I look forward to partnering with you in order to give your fourth grader the best year that she or he can possibly have. This year your child will become a stronger reader, writer, mathematician, historian, and scientist.  One of my professional goals this year is to help your child to better understand his or her emotions and how to use them to positively impact their own lives and the lives of those with whom they interact.
This is my 25rd year of teaching, twenty-one of which were at a K-8 school in Northern California.  I absolutely love my job!  Teaching is the most rewarding and fulfilling career, and I am grateful every day for the time I get to spend with my students.  I feel fortunate to have made lifelong friendships with many of my former students and their families.  It's hard to believe that the first students that I ever taught will be 37 years old this year!  Boy, do I feel old!
I moved to Colorado from Loomis, California to be with my husband, Mike.  We are very fortunate to have a wonderful blended family! Lauren (age 22) and Hannah (20) are my daughters.  Michelle (21) and Kyle (13) are Mike's children. All three of our daughters are off in college.  I really enjoy spending time with family, reading, writing, hiking, and traveling.  On my weekends, Mike and I love to watch Kyle play sports and drive around exploring Colorado.  If you ever have any suggestions for places I need to visit, please share.
I know how important it is to have a solid, positive partnership between student, parent, and teacher.  I look forward to building that relationship together.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have ANY questions, want to help out in the classroom, or just want to touch base.
