About Me

I am very excited to be teaching fourth grade at Cherokee Trail again this year!  Education has always been a passion for me, starting at a very young age.  I decided to pursue my dream first, by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in 2005.  That gave me a great foundation and understanding of children of all ages.  Shortly after graduation, I extended my education through the University of Phoenix and obtained my Master’s in Elementary Education in the summer of 2008.  I then spent the first five years of my career teaching fourth grade in the Elizabeth School District.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, but was ready to move on to bigger and better.  I am thrilled to have also recently received a second Master’s in Administration, as well as my Principal License from Argosy University in Denver. This program partnered directly with Douglas County School District, which enabled me to gain incredible insight.

During my spare time, I enjoy being around family and friends.
My husband, Chad, and I have been married for 14 years and
are blessed to have an ALMOST two-year old baby girl, Remington Grace! We also have two fur babies, Harper and Hudson. I enjoy filling my spare time with exercising, reading, traveling whenever possible, attending concerts, and enjoying the beautiful scenery this state has to offer!

I look forward to getting to know each of my students on a personal level, as well as leading them to expand their confidence and potential.  I savor opportunities to be interactive with my students and enjoy the challenge of keeping them each engaged, while also making learning a positive experience.
