THE PRINCIPAL CHRONICLES - JOSH MILLER

The Principal Chronicles continue ...This week we have had about a MILLION things going on. We had our Fun Run, we interviewed for a 5th grade teacher, and then on Friday we have Ed Leader 21 touring our building. If I wore a fit bit, I would have definitely reached my 10,000 steps every day with time to spare.
All things went really well, the Fun Run was awesome and the kids worked hard to get as many laps as they could. Overall as a school, we ran 12,977 laps which is 811.06 miles! That was an average of over 1 1/2 miles per student!

This year we are awarding a Golden Shoe award, an award for running the most laps on average, to a primary class and an intermediate class. The winner of the primary Golden Shoe is Mrs. Briese's class with an average of 31.24 laps. The winner of the intermediate Golden Shoe is Mrs. Tyler's class with an average of 32.16 laps. They each earned an extra recess!

The class who won Best Spirit at the Fun Run and will receive a hamster ball party on prize day is......Ms. Jones' class! Their lightning bolt attire, amazing banner, and class chant put them at the top! Ms. Levine's afternoon class was a close second as a classroom of Super Heroes. Thank you to all the classes who put together a theme for the Fun Run! Your spirit during the Fun Run did not go unnoticed!

On a different note, Ed Leader is bringing 30 principals and superintendents to tour our school and see what we do best. I'm sure next week I'll have plenty of good stories.

That is it for this week. Tune in next week for another edition of the Principal Chronicles...
