The Principal Chronicles continue ... Traffic!! As many of my loyal readers know, I have a 45-minute drive into Cherokee Trail and a 45-minute drive home from Cherokee Trail every day. Basically, you could say that C470 and I are pretty connected with each other. In case you haven't traveled along that corridor recently or you have driven along that corridor and didn't notice (not sure how you wouldn't notice but maybe you have one of those cool self-driving cars) but they are doing some massive construction. If you are driving along C470 right around University there is giant Transformer looking thing right off the highway which seems to be the central hub of excitement. I keep waiting for it to change into some sort of robot and start fighting other robots who were secretly disguised as cars or construction vehicles. With all the construction going on, if you actually watch what is going on, (I do since I am just sitting in traffic contemplating my inner chi) all they seem to be doing is driving large vehicles around and moving dirt. I'm fairly confident there is a master plan but seriously, it looks as though these guys driving those giant earth movers are just messing around and having fun. I have no earthly idea why I felt compelled to write about this (maybe because as I write this, I have just sat in said traffic for over an hour).

Speaking of traffic, we have been having some safety issues around CTE lately. As a friendly reminder, please drive safely in and around our school. With the sun shining and the weather being so nice, most of our students walk to and from school. We have had reports of cars running stop signs and cutting through crosswalks. Please please please make sure you obey all traffic laws, drive slowly and safely, and please make sure our kids are safe.

That is it for this week. Stay tuned for next week's edition of the Principal Chronicles. Until next time.....
