FROM ART - MR. BARTON art show

Dear DCSD Students andFamilies,

With the latest news that in-person learning is suspended through the rest of the school year, the DCSD art show at Park Meadows has been canceled. However, we would still like to celebrate the great things our students have accomplished this year in art. Each week, starting April 20 through the end of the school year, we will be showcasing artwork from across the district on our Art Show website. Creating art can be a great way to express emotions during this time and can also provide students with a creative outlet as they are at home for the remainder of the school year. There is no requirement to participate, and no strict parameters for your submissions as far as what type of materials to use. We would like to celebrate art students have created this year and during this time of in-home learning. Each week, we will select five submissions from each level (elementary, middle and high school) to showcase on our district website and through social media. If you would like to submit your entry for consideration, please use this form to add your submission by noon on Friday of each week. Each student may submit one piece of artwork per week. Take a close-up picture of your artwork to upload in the form, and make sure to use your DCSD email address. The show is open to DCSD students only. The selected artwork will be displayed in a digital gallery at www.dcsdk12.org/artshow. Your first opportunity to submit your artwork is this week! If you would like to be considered for the virtual show for the week of April 20, please submit your artwork by noon on Friday, April 17. Not sure how to submit your artwork? Check out this video tutorial. Thank you, The Art Show Committee
