We are keeping in close contact with the Tri-County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on this subject.

PSP NEWS
School Supply Kits for 2020-2021: Kits are now available to purchase for next school year. Orders are online only (the school code is 83115) and must be placed by May 29th. Please see the notes section on the order information flyer so you know what is not coming in the kit. They will be delivered directly to your door by August 1st.
King Soopers Loyalty Card: CTE is enrolled in the King Soopers Loyalty Card Fundraiser. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and neighbors are welcome to participate and support our school. 1. Go to - www.KingSoopers.com 2. Sign in and create an account if you don't have one already. 3. Under "My Account" find Community Rewards. 4. You can search for Cherokee Trail Elementary PSP or enter the code DW799.
Box Tops: Box Tops are offered on a variety of foods and household items. The Box Top program is moving toward a digital only platform. You can download the app, scan your receipt, and earn money for CTE! Just designate CTE as your school of choice on the app.

FROM DCSD NUTRITION SERVICES
Below are the new updated flyers for the DCSD Nutrition Services Emergency Feeding Program.

Due to construction, we had to move our serving location from South Ridge Elementary to the Methodist Church just up the street, starting Monday May 18th. The Emergency Feeding Program and serving sites will last all summer long!

BOUNCIN' FOR BUCKS

Hello Families,

Book your Backyard Fun event and our school receives CASH!!!  Staying at home does not need to be dull and boring!  Let us bring the Fun to you!  Bounce Houses, Obstacle Course, Waterslides are just a few of the events that we can bring to your yard.  The great part, our school will receive cash back for every rental.

SPECIAL FOR OUR FAMILIES!!!
Book your backyard fun by 5/31/20 and you get 2 days for the price of 1.  Book any event Monday-Thursday (throughout the Summer) and you can keep the inflatable overnight at no additional charge!  This is a savings of $75 plus our school receives cash.

All events will be disinfected on delivery and at pickup.  If weather is bad at pickup, the event will be disinfected at the warehouse at arrival.  

Book your events early to secure your dates.


FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR - JANE STEINER

Are you or a family member struggling with emotions from COVID-19? Denver Counseling Solutions is offering FREE online support groups to teachers, parents, and younger adults (ages 20-40).  Additional information.
American Red Cross is offering a free 1 hour online Mental Health First Aid course.  The course is designed to help anyone impacted by COVID-19 to build resilience and lend support to others during and after this time. Topics include recognizing stress as well as caring for yourself while supporting your family and coworkers.  Click here for details and access to the course

COVID parenting workshops weekly with Dr. Scott Cypers (flyer attached)

There are great topics this week and guest break out rooms including an amazing Child Psychiatrist talking about whether medication may be needed to help your child or not as well as Psychologist Audrey Blakeley-Smith focusing on supporting Parents with Children on the Autism Spectrum. Dr. Cypers will focus on tools to help parents manage their own anxiety and his partner will focus on depression fighting tools. Thursdays 8-9:15 (zoom link in attached flyer)

Attached is an article about the Junior Wolverines along with our game schedule. (flyer) * EDGE Summer Camps Are Back! (flyer) Students and teachers in the EDGE Program at Legend High School have designed an amazing second summer of EDGE Camps. All camps are designed for middle school students (students currently in grades 5-8). Camps are hands-on, project-based, and created to help middle schoolers gain critical thinking skills while having a blast at camp.
