VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION - KAREN NOTTINGHAM Dear CTE Families: We are again celebrating Veteran's Day by honoring those in our community that have served in the Armed Forces. In conjunction with this, we would like to decorate the walls with stories of our community's veterans. A template, Take A Veteran To School, is attached which your child can complete at home. Students can honor a family member or friend that has served in the military. There is a place to include their name, the veteran's name and service information, and either a photograph or a drawing that represents their veteran. You could also have your child write a short piece on why their Veteran is a Hero, and how they exhibited EPIC qualities as a veteran. This could either be on the template or attached to it. Your child's teacher also has the template if you are unable to print it at home. Please return the completed form to your child's teacher by Monday, 11/5, so that we have time to create the display prior to the veterans' visit and for our Donuts with Dad event on Friday, 11/09. Thank you for taking the time to honor the veterans in our CTE community!
DISTRICT ROBOTICS COMPETITION - KELLY SWIRYN
Sierra Middle School's robotics club will be competing at the district competition on Saturday November 10, 8am to noon, at Rocky Heights Middle School. Spectators will be treated to dozens of autonomous robots competing in 8 different events. Sierra is the defending champion in most of the events and their club has grown this year to 45 students.

Halloween Thanks to all the parents who supported our Halloween parties this year. All the students had a great time! Our staff enjoyed a Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice breakfast that morning as well. All the parties made for a fun day, exhausting, but fun. Now, let the holiday music commence! Conference Dinners We had the most wonderful food for dinner during our parent/teacher conferences. Many of you brought delicious food for us to enjoy. Thanks for your hard work and consideration. For those who haven’t collected dishes, but sure to stop in our lounge to pick up your things! No School on November 6th Remember we have no school for students on November 6th, Election Day. FROM THE PRINCIPAL
 - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ...... (Halloween edition) Happy Halloween everyone!! For the first time in a long time, I am writing this on Halloween. We are currently in a slight lull in all of the action. The morning parties are done and all that is left is 6th grade and PM Kindergarten. I love Halloween, especially all of the creative costumes that the kids come to school in. It's great to see the parties and it is always nice to see how many of our parents take time off to come in and volunteer. On the home front, we are going to hit our neighborhood and that should be about it for us. We have a neighbor who goes all out for the Holidays. When I say all out, I truly mean all out. Currently, he has an 11' tall pumpkin head, a full sized cemetery, a giant creepy horse carriage complete with skeleton horses,  and some sort of video display which we will see tonight. Yep, he is that guy. Wait until Christmas, when he really goes to town. That is it for this week. Thank you for supporting our school, Happy Halloween and enjoy a safe and fun evening. Until next time when the Principal Chronicles continue ...
