KIDS' CENTER [BASE]

Promoting the safety, well-being, and development of every child while partnering with schools and community to be the best choice for families.

The Kids Center is a Before, After-School, and Summer Enterprise (B.A.S.E.) Program. B.A.S.E. programs are designed to provide safe, quality, affordable group care in the school setting; whereby each individual child is enriched with various experiences conducive to their academic, social, and physical development.

MEET THE TEAM

Before School

6:30 - 8:25am
Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of different activities such as coloring, pretend play, games, and reading. Students may also bring unfinished homework to complete while at the Kids Center and as always, they are welcome to bring their breakfast to eat while there.

After School

3:30 - 6:15pm
Kids Center staff will pick up children in the cafeteria after school. The children are then able to decide if they would like to do their homework or play outside. They are more than welcome to bring a snack to eat, a water bottle, as well as an electronic to play on after 5:00pm.

School Breaks/Full Day

7:00am - 5:30pm
This program is offered on days when students do not have school such as school breaks, summer breaks, and teacher development days.

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Kids' Center Mobile (located west of the school). If we are not in the mobile, we are on the playground behind the mobile. Please carry your ID with you. If we have not met you as a parent or a person who is authorized to pick up, you will need to show your ID to the staff. This is part of our safety protocol.

How to Enroll

NEW FAMILY ENROLLMENT

Click HERE if you are a new family enrolling with Kids' Center.

When filling out the enrollment information please make sure you fill out ALL the required information. Please note that if you are a two household family each parent should register for their own account. You will each pay the enrollment fee, but when both parents are registered you will each be credited back half. If you have any questions about how to do this, please email Heather Allison.

Please log into your Connect Portal and choose the registration tile then choose the school year you are enrolling your student(s) in.

The fee to register your child is $75.00 for one child and $100.00 for a family. This fee is due every new school year (July 1st).

Scheduling

Sign-in/Sign-out Policy

For security purposes, a sign-in/sign-out record is maintained daily by the program. The program shall only release children to adults (18 years and older) for whom written authorization has been given and as indicated on the child’s registration form. Authorized adults shall provide verification of identity and time through the School Care Works application and the use of a designated Personal Identification Number (PIN). In an emergency, the child may be released to an adult for whom the child’s parent or guardian has given verbal authorization. If a staff member does not recognize an adult who is signing out a child, photo identification is required to assure that the adult is authorized to pick up the child. Please discuss any requests for other arrangements with the B.A.S.E. Program Manager.

Unless presented with legal documentation in the form of a subpoena or court order, we cannot deny a parent access to his or her child.

Parent Advisory Committee

The Kids Center would like to invite parents, family members, and community members to join the Parent Advisory Committee. It is our hope that the PAC will increase engagement between the CTE BASE and the community.

Kids Center PAC goals:

To maintain and improve the quality of services provided by CTE BASE by involving teachers, parents, guardians, and community members.
To enrich the program for our children by providing ideas and resources.
To provide an open forum in which ideas and suggestions that are beneficial to students may be discussed. The PAC recognizes that CTE BASE has the legal responsibility to make decisions regarding policies based upon the rules and regulations of the CDHS.
