FROM THE PRINCIPAL - JOSH MILLER
The Principal Chronicles continue ... As I write this, it is Valentine's Day: the pinkest and reddest day we have all year. It seems as though everyone is wearing either pink or red. As I go around through all of the different classes, I am always amazed at the creativity our students have relative to their Valentine's boxes. I was wondering aloud this morning about when this became a thing? I remember when I was a kid (back when we rode our dinosaurs to school) that we just used a paper sack. Now kids have three dimensional, multi-functional high tech pieces of Valentine's art. It is truly amazing what some of our students come up with. What are we doing in our house for Valentine's day you ask? A whole lot of nothing. Valentine's Day isn't a big deal in our house so it is really just another day. Plus our girls will most likely make poor dietary choices most of the day so they should be good to go. That is it for this week. Happy Valentine's Day from our family to your family. Until next time when the Principal Chronicles continues... NEW THIS WEEK: I have posted a new podcast for our weekly Staff Chat. Each podcast is available on CTE's YouTube channel - please subscribe and never miss any of the fun! Each week I will have a short interview with one of our staff members. Please enjoy the eighth episode with Sandy Dreith.

Given the recent traffic safety events and concerns in the neighborhood, Student Council will be collaborating with the committee to work on this issue. StuCo is taking this on as a design challenge and will be seeking out neighborhood feedback, working with police officers, and considering a Neighborhood Traffic Calming Partnership. We appreciate your cooperation with us as we work on this challenge. Here's what's coming! Please access the school calendar for specific times.
