As part of the Heart Challenge at CTE event this week, Mrs. Zavadil and Mrs. Whittingham taught students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 life saving CPR skills. The program, Starting Hearts, allowed the students the opportunity to learn about all the steps necessary to help save a life. Students know exactly what to do if a person goes into sudden cardiac arrest. The lessons focused on hands only CPR with chest compressions as well as how to properly use a defibrillator. CTE is so proud of these students for learning such an important skill.
